Children
Our pride and joy.
Our children of today.
There are many names for these children; Indigo, angel, crystal. I have
heard many, but what I feel that is so important is making them feel okay with
all the changes in their life. It is hard enough to live in today's time with
all the crime, let alone feel like your child is alone because of the mean names
others are saying and calling them because they are different.
I just came across a great book for teens that I was so grateful to find. It is
written by Julie Tallard Johnson. This book has been so helpful for teens. There
are allot of great exercises for them and it is a great learning tool for them.
We have came up with several games that you can play with them to let them
practice. This is one of the games to play with your little seer.
"Just wanted to share this little game I play with my 7 and 8 year olds. They
love it!!
I have them get about 10 different colored crayons (you can use anything small:
marbles, candy, etc).
I have one turn away while the other one takes one colored crayon out of the
pile and hold it in their hands (so the other can't see it!!).
I hide the rest of the crayons.
Now I have the one that has picked the color think real hard of it. I now have
the
other child turn around and tell them to say the first thing that comes to their
mind.
It could be a BLUE ocean, or GREEN grass, or a YELLOW sun.........when we did it
my son had the correct color 8 out of 10 times!!"
Indigo and Crystal Children: When interacting with and caring for your
Indigo/Crystal child you need to remember that your child is very different to
you. What worked for you as a child will not work for them.
Difficulties arise when the child enters the school system. It is hard enough in
today's school system for a regular child, let alone a gifted child. They need
to adapt to their way of functioning. A child of the right-brain learns very
quickly and often makes intuitive leaps that demonstrate astonishing
intelligence. Today's school system is geared for left-brain functioning which
is repetitive, routine, organized and linear/cumulative. This "slower" approach
means that the child becomes bored very quickly- and loses interest. The child
generally then seeks other ways to stimulate it's interest. This leads to many
Indigo Children being labeled as ADD and ADHD, and often given Ritalin, when in
fact there is nothing wrong with them other than plain old boredom.
Your child is also far more sensitive than you were or are. Their hearing,
vision, and senses are far more acute than ours.

The following extract describes the difference between Indigo and Crystal
Children. It is from Doreen Virtue's article Indigo and Crystal Children:
The terms "Indigo" and "Crystal" were given to these two generations because
they most accurately describe their aura colors and energy patterns. Indigo
children have a lot of indigo blue in their auras. This is the color of the
"third eye chakra", which is the energy center inside the head located between
the two eyebrows. This chakra regulates clairvoyance, or the ability to see
energy, visions, and spirits. Many of the Indigo children are clairvoyant
The Crystal children have opalescent auras, with beautiful multi-colors in
pastel hues. This generation also shows a fascination for crystals and
rocks......
Indigo Children can sense dishonesty, like a dog can sense fear. Indigos know
when they're being lied to, patronized, or manipulated. And since their
collective purpose is to usher us into a new world of integrity, the Indigos
inner lie-detectors are integral. As mentioned before, this warrior spirit is
threatening to some adults. And the Indigos are unable to conform to
dysfunctional situations at home, work, or school. They don't have the ability
to dissociate from their feelings and pretend like everything's okay ...unless
they are medicated or sedated.
Crystal Children's innate spiritual gifts are also misunderstood. Specifically,
their telepathic abilities which lead them to talk later in life.
Crystal Children are quite the opposite. They are among the most connected,
communicative, caring and cuddly of any generation. They are also quite
philosophical and spiritually gifted. And they display an unprecedented level of
kindness and sensitivity to this world. Crystal Children spontaneously hug and
care for people in need
